A 24 year-old man climbed a ladder up onto a closed business last Saturday morning and created a stand-off with police for two hours Friday morning.
Deric Holden (24) of Sherman Oaks was seen by a plain clothes officer climbing up a ladder onto a roof a closed business at 2:32 am Friday morning at Magnolia and Reese. The officer, believing the suspect was attempting to burglarize the business, ordered the him to get down from the roof.
According to police, Holden refused the officers legal commands and did not come down for approximately two hours. Once the suspect made his way down from the roof and was taken into custody for trespassing and obstructing a police officer during the course of his duties.
