Burbank Police arrested Marco Leuvanos, age 28 and a resident of Sun Valley, in the early morning hours of December 26, for commercial burglary. At 12:25 a.m. that morning, officers on routine, uniformed patrol in the area north of the Empire Center, spotted the suspect, clad all in black wearing gloves and carrying a flashlight, next to storage sheds in the parking lot of Golden State Gymnastics, located at 1828 N. Keystone St.
When officers contacted the suspect, they saw the locks were cut on both storage sheds, so Leuvanos was taken into custody, according to Sgt. Darin Ryburn of the Burbank Police Department. While no loss has yet been reported, officers did recover the storage shed locks and cutters at the scene. Leuvanos is currently in custody at the Burbank Jail and being held on a $20,000 bail.
