At least 13 separate areas were tagged with black spray-painted gang-style graffiti throughout Burbank during the evening of October 24 and early morning hours of October 25. Garage, apartment and store walls and city property were some of the spots tagged. Some of the locations marked were the 400 block of E. Harvard, 300 block of E. Verdugo, 300 block S. Glenoaks, 600 block of E. Tujunga, 600 block of E. Angeleno, 600 block of E. Olive, 400 and 500 blocks of N. 6th, 400 block of N. Kenneth and the 200 block of E. Santa Anita.
The two-foot-high graffiti were all done by the same group of individuals, and the Burbank Police Gang Unit are investigating, according to Sgt. Darin Ryburn of the Burbank Police Department. Detectives are following up on leads and if the responsible parties can be found, they will be prosecuted to pay for the cost of repairing the damaged property.
