Police Investigate Shooting Death at Airport Marriott

Burbank police and paramedics received a call for a victim of a shooting at the Burbank Airport Marriott located at 2500 Hollywood Way Thursday night just around 11 pm.

Police arrived on scene and found a victim of a gunshot on the ground next to a SUV that was in the valet area of the hotel.  The back of the SUV was open and there was a wheelchair next to the vehicle.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim, a 34 year-old man deceased.

Police on scene have recovered a weapon that was possibly involved in the shooting. Officers at the scene were not looking for any other victims or suspects.  It is unknown if this was possibly a suicide or an accidental shooting.

Police have not released the victim’s name at this time but it was reported that a family member arrived on scene shortly after the shooting.

The Marriott was hosting a Supernatural Convention at their convention hall that started Thursday night with many celebrities due to attend.
