Police Issue Crime Alert

The Burbank Police Department has issued a Crime Alert, warning citizens of a recent increase in daylight residential burglaries.

According to the department, numerous home burglaries occurred between Friday, March 15, and Monday, March 18.  In most of these, the burglars struck in the late morning or early afternoon hours.   The suspects pried open windows and doors to gain entry into their victims’ homes.

The criminals have mostly taken electronic equipment, such as computer, game systems, and televisions.   For a more detailed list of residential burglaries and what was taken, click on the Burbank Crime Report.

Police urge residents to make sure their homes are secured before they leave during the day.  In addition be aware of your surroundings, and watch suspicious occupied vehicles in your neighborhood.    If you see any suspicious activity or individuals, obtain as much information about the vehicle or person, then call the Burbank Police at 818-238-3000.
