Burbank Police officers and Command Staff gathered Wednesday afternoon at 6pm during their shift change to honor the passing of former Burbank Police Detective Harry Strickland who passed away earlier this week at the age of 100.

Strickland was assigned to many of the departments high profile cases over the years.

Although his internment was held this past Wednesday, there will be a public memorial to be held this Saturday morning at 11 am  at the Burbank Historical Society’s Gordon R. Howard Museum located in Izay Park.

During the lowering of the flag, Burbank Police Department’s Honor Guard played taps in a ceremony that was ordered by Police Chief Scott LaChasse.
