Power tools and Romex worth more than $800 were taken from a work truck parked in a residential driveway on the 1800 block of N. Kenwood St. during the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 22. The grand theft was reported at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, when the owner of the truck went to work and realized the equipment and supplies were not in the back of his truck.
After reviewing the surveillance footage from his residence, the victim saw two people, a female and a male, drive by the residence on N. Kenwood in a Ford Expedition around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, according to Sgt. Darin Ryburn of the Burbank Police Department. About five minutes later, the suspects walked back to the construction truck parked in the driveway and took three spools of Romex, worth about $120, and a black nylon bag of power tools worth about $700.
The male suspect is described as being 18-24 with black hair and the female suspect is described as being shorter than the male, also 18-24 and with brown hair.
