Burbank Fire Fighters were called to the 3000 Joaquin Drive around 4:20PM Monday afternoon to a reported grass or brush fire with no further information, upon their arrival they found a 1/4 acre of light grass burning below the address on the hillside. Their response was well prepared with 6 engines and a Battalion Chief and the fire was knocked down within minutes but smoke could be seen throughout Burbank. The new fire recruits were called in to overhaul the surrounding grass, and make a fire break. They also used compressed foam which turned the hillside a snowy white but also helped if there were any remaining embers or hotspots.
