Jewelry of an unknown value was reported stolen from an unlocked Toyota Camry in an underground parking structure located on the 1300 block of N. Hollywood Way. Sometime during the early morning hours of Sunday, December 29, unknown suspects removed the jewelry.
Even though the items were taken from an unlocked vehicle, the action is considered a burglary and not a theft because the thieves had entered the gated parking structure, according to Sgt. Justin Meadows of the Burbank Police Department. Furthermore, as the incident occurred in an underground parking structure, it is also considered a burglary of a residence.
