Following release by Chris Rizzotti campaign:

Lifelong Burbank resident and local small business owner Chris Rizzotti shook things up at the League of Woman Voters Candidates Forum Tuesday with an unprecedented campaign announcement. In keeping with his signature forward-thinking and tenacious style, Rizzotti made a commitment to reach out to the Burbank community like never before:

“Public service is about serving the public. If elected to City Council I will be innovative and resourceful.  We hear all the time that there is not enough outreach from or access to our Council, but no one has ever offered a solution. Here is my solution! If elected, during my first year, I vow to meet with members of the public at a standing time and location every week. This has never been done before. I will engage our community and ensure all voices are heard.”

Rizzotti announced his intention to run in March and has been working tirelessly ever since, meeting with community members and sharing his vision for a better Burbank. In recent weeks Rizzotti has received the endorsements of Assemblyman Mike Gatto of the 43rd District, Burbank Police Officers Association, Burbank Firefighters Local 778, Burbank Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 761, and Former Mayors and City Council Members Jess Talamantes and Emily Gabel Luddy.

Chris Rizzotti is the current Vice Chair of the City of Burbank Planning Board. Rizzotti was President of the Burbank Association of Realtors in 2012, received the Realtor of the Year Award in 2013, was President of the Community Service Foundation in 2013, was a Core Team Member for the Measure S Ballot Initiative, and received an Outstanding Contribution Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration. He has been active in civic and philanthropic engagement for many years.
