The First Ever Fun Run being put on by the ABS-CBN Foundation International will be having a 5 K run through the streets of Downtown Burbank Saturday morning. The race is promoting Filipino Wellness. Street closures will start at 6:00 a.m. and should be cleared by noon.
The race will start with a shotgun start by Burbank Mayor Emily Gabel-Luddy at 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Olive Street & Third Street. According to Burbank Police the route will have lane reductions starting at Northbound Third to Eastbound Magnolia, to Southbound Glenoaks Blvd; to Westbound Providencia; to Southbound San Fernando Blvd; to Westbound Alameda; to Northbound Flower Street; to Westbound Verdugo; to Lake Street; then Northbound to Olive Avenue back up to Third Street.
So if you plan on traveling early be prepared for some slowing in the area of this route.
Additionally the Burbank Tournament of Roses will be test driving this years float ‘Lights Camera Action’ for Pasadena Tournament Officials along Flower Street from the Olive Overpass to Verdugo. Following the test drive, the float will be on display while the Tournament holds their biggest fundraiser of the year in the ‘Float Barn’ located under the Olive Overpass.
