Safe Stolen From House In Burbank Hills

A safe containing gift cards, a checkbook, U.S. currency and miscellaneous papers was taken from a residence on the 600 block of E. Tufts Avenue in the Burbank Hills area sometime between 2:00 p.m. March 9 and 12:00 p.m. March 11.

The resident of the property was out of town and received a call regarding his house possibly having been burglarized, the a friend visited the property to check on it. The friend noticed a French door in the back of the house had a pane smashed out, according to Sgt. Darin Ryburn of the Burbank Police Department, and called police.

The two bedrooms, including the master, and the office had been gone through, with drawers and doors opened.

A small 30″ safe was determined to be missing from the office closet. The investigation into the burglary is ongoing, added Ryburn.
