Time to Deck the (City) Hall, It’s Christmas Time

Burbank City Hall’s Christmas tree was put into place Wednesday morning and decorated by Park, Recreation and Community Services employees from the Forestry Division.

Hundreds of lights and ornaments adorne the tree. This year some new ornaments have been put into place.

The event gets underway starting at 6 p.m. Saturday evening, when Santa will make his big arrival.  He will help Burbank citizens light up this year’s tree, and kick off his 25 days of Christmas Cheer in Downtown Burbank.

Thursday, December 6

HOLLEY TROLLEY TOURS

JINGLE BELLS JAMMIE FEST

Celebrate the season with a beloved holiday tale, ideal for children ages 4 to 8. Kids are invited to wear their pjs while listening to a reading of The Polar Express at 7:00 pm, followed by cookies, cocoa and a fun holiday craft. 818-558-1383.

TWO MILK MINIMUM

Flappers Comedy Club

Take in the Two Milk Minimum Family Comedy Show featuring a rotation of outlandish, zany and outright amazing comedy magicians, jugglers, improv artists, puppeteers and novelty acts. Doors open at 4:00 for a 4:30 pm show. Free admission (a $10 value).

Sunday, December 9

METROLINK HOLIDAY TOY EXPRESS

Downtown Burbank Station

201 N Front Street

Join thousands of cheering families as they welcome the 450-ton Holiday Toy Express and enjoy free entertainment, hot chocolate and cookies from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Bring new, unwrapped toys and sporting equipment for the ABC 7 Spark of Love Toy Drive in cooperation with the Burbank Fire Department. Toys go to Burbank kids in need.

BELIEVE IN THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

Holiday Inn Downtown Burbank

Revel in an evening of old fashion fun with caroling by the Van Bloem Singers and introducing Harmony, directed by Sharon Mathu.  Includes visits with Santa, hot cocoa and cookies from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.

OUTDOOR MENORAH LIGHTING

On the AMC Walkway at San Fernando Boulevard

Marvel at the 10 foot menorah and enjoy fresh hot latkes, music and a children’s choir.  Festivities begin at 8:00 pm.
