On Memorial Day, Venture Crew Scouts and Boy Scouts from 201 of Burbank, retired 55 American Flags with Honors atop the Mt. Pinos Range, just North of the San Fernando Valley.  The two Scout Organizations, which are sponsored by the Magnolia Park United Methodist Church, and composed of boys and girls (14-20) in the Crew and boys 11-18 in the Scout Troop, often observe patriotic duty and have in the past decade, dedicated more than 1,000 American Flags in ceremony.

Members of the Burbank – San Fernando Valley area, who have tattered flags ready to be retired, may drop them off at the Scouts sponsor, The Methodist Church, 2828 W. Magnolia Blvd., in Burbank.  To find out more about the troop and or crew, you may call the church office at (818) 846-2866 and ask for Nancy of Jim.
