Burbank Arts For All Foundation holds Secret Art Show 2016 on Saturday evening, November 5, at The Burbank Studios. The Foundation continues to accept 4″ x 6″ artwork donations for its fourth annual event through end of day, Friday, October 28.

Every autumn, celebrities, city officials, students, hobbyists and professional visual artists create “mini-masterpieces” for the Secret Art Show. The artists’ names are on the back of the piece and are not revealed until the item is purchased for a flat $40 donation to the Foundation.

“The magic of the Secret Art Show is in the unknown surprises discovered in hundreds of original works of art wrapped up inside our fun, hip, warehouse lounge party,” said Trena Pitchford, Executive Director of the Burbank Arts For All Foundation.

“We invite the entire community to join our guests for the most colorful event of the year, including a silent auction, music, live art experiences, and a hosted wine and cheese reception.”

Artists include the Art Director from SpongeBob SquarePants, Peter Bennett, and Caldecott Winning Children’s Book Author and Artist, David Shannon. Musician Steve Earle, actress Lea Thompson, Emmy-nominated production designer Dave Blass, actors W. Earl Brown and Joe Mantegna, artists Gary Baseman, Adonna Khare and Mike Vosburg are also contributing artworks to the show.

Members of the Burbank Art Association, artists from The Walt Disney Animation Studio and Nickelodeon, Costume Designer Rita Ryack, Award-winning artist and filmmaker Frank Dietz and several middle and high school students from the Burbank Unified School District have created “mini-masterpieces” for the event, too.

“We are extremely excited about the caliber of artists who are joining us this year for the first time or returning as our Secret Artists,” added PItchford.

“Where else can you enjoy an engaging, diverse collection of art created by highly collectible artists, celebrities or imaginative public school students? Be sure to take a peek at our preview galleries to see just a few of the pieces that will be available for a donation of $40 each. You don’t want to miss it!”

Preview galleries of some of the artwork available at the Secret Art Show can be seen here. It’s not too late to turn in submissions; artist entry packet information is available here.

General admission is $10 per person for entries after 7:30 p.m. Early VIP admission is $50 per person and allows entry at 6:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online here or at the door.

Proceeds for the event benefit Burbank Arts For All Foundations, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to funding arts programs in Burbank Unified public schools.
