Burbank Police responded to a disturbance call late Friday night near the Del Taco located on Verdugo Ave. just west of Hollywood Way at Screenland Dr.  While they were enroute they received several 911 calls regarding shots being fired in the same vicinity.

When officers  arrived they detained two men in the Del Taco parking lot.   While investigating the incident they found several spent .40 caliber shell casings in the street across from the Del Taco.  Burbank Police also detained a man with a firearm during their investigation.  After canvasing the parking lot they found that no one  had been struck by the bullets.  Burbank Police continued their investigation for a prolonged period of time, getting statements from several shoppers and witnesses in the area.

Two people were taken in for questioning and released.  There was one arrest made, but it was unrelated to the shots fired.  Detectives are currently investigating the incident.
