Upon arrival, Engine 13 reported a single story home with smoke showing from the roof. Crews immediately started a fire attack on the small fire that looked to be only in the attic of the home, preventing it from spreading to the rest of the structure and any other homes in the area.

Firefighters began cutting away at the shingled rooftop to help release smoke from the inside of the home while other firefighters inside extinguished the blaze with water. The fast effort by Burbank Firefighters led to a quick knock down in about 15 minutes of the smoldering attic fire and saved most of the home from becoming damaged by the fire.

No residents of the home or any Firefighters were injured during the quick firefight and it is unknown whether the residents of the home will be displaced by the fire.

The cause and damage estimates were not given by fire officials at the scene.
