Small House Fire Knocked Down Quickly

Firefighters responded to a home at 1480 Clybourn Ave. on Tuesday afternoon at 5:09 pm for a report of a dryer on fire inside of a house.

Upon arriving on scene, firefighters observed moderate black smoke showing from the rear of a single story home. After making sure everyone had exited the structure, firefighters quickly found the fire and knocked it down within minutes, containing it to one room.

Burbank Fire Department responded 3 Engine Companies, 2 Truck Companies, 1 Rescue Ambulance and 1 Battalion Chief. The estimated loss to the structure was $200,000 and $50,000 loss to contents.

There were no injuries and the Red Cross was notified for a displaced resident.

The fire is still currently under investigation.
