The Smoke House Restaurant in Burbank is putting on a Patriotic Christmas Show Thursday, December 15, for the benefit of the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation. Showtimse 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
The show will open with the Marine Corps Color Guard bringing in the colors, the National Anthem as sung by Mark Sellers and a recitation of the World War I poem In Flanders Field to honor those who serve and those who fell in action, in all our wars. Pauline Talent, who began the Toys for Tots program in Burbank in 1950 will say a few words about the origins of Toys for Tots in Los Angeles.
The musical group Starlight with vocalists Victoria Goodman, Amanda Leader, and Katie Norris will sing with Starlight’s four piece band, performing Christmas music, jazz, blues and swing, with a tap dance by Katie Norris. At Band breaks Award winning entertainer Joe Skilton will perform magic.
