Senior captain Kristin Masuzumi continues to make a strong case for the Pacific League’s best player. Despite completely dominating play for the first 60 minutes, JBHS couldn’t find the goal and was deadlocked at 0-0. Masuzumi was moved from her customary center back position to striker and immediately scored on a beautiful header from sophomore Mireya Gonzalez’s free kick. Hoover quickly equalized and Masuzumi was forced into offensive duty for the second time. She beat her defender, sent a cross to Sophomore Emma Bartram, who tapped in the game winner.
