Providence St. Joseph Medical Center will hold a ceremony on Monday, September 12 at 1:30 pm in their lobby to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the East Coast and to honor those who died and those who sought to save them. Among the nearly 3,000 who lost their lives that day in New York City’s World Trade Center, the Pentagon and aboard the four hijacked planes that were commandeered by terrorists was one of their physicians, Yeneneh Betru, M.D. Prayers, music and inspirational messages will be offered in the ceremony, a tradition at Providence Saint Joseph to remember those who perished that day in the worst ever attack on American soil.
