Burbank Police arrested a 52 year-old man who was on parole after police responded to the Ralph’s market at San Fernando and Alameda Tuesday night. The 55 year-old security guard called police to who first responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call.
The guard had first stopped the suspect as he left Ralph’s Market after the sensors went off. The suspect immediately pulled a knife and moved toward the security guard, telling him to back off.
The suspect then fled the area through the parking lot as the security guard called the police. While checking the area, police located a suspect matching the description in the gas station at Alameda and San Fernando.
Officers then transported the suspect back to the store where the security guard positively identified the suspect and he was arrested for 212.5 (a) PC-Robbery. Officers checking the area, recovered the knife and property that was discarded by the suspect near the gas station.
Arrested was Kenneth Priem, 52, of Burbank. Bail is $50,000 with a court date of April 25.
