All three suspects are now in custody and have been identified as Rupert Lewis, 21 of Long Beach, Amil Campbell, 21 of Long Beach, and Tramell Gaines, 27 of Los Angeles. They have been booked on suspicion of commercial burglary.

On January 10, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed one count of burglary against each suspect.

“The members of our community are our extra sets of eyes. Because we can’t be everywhere all the time, we rely on the citizens in our community to be good witnesses,” said BPD Sgt. Derek Green.

Both Burbank and Glendale Police Departments have expressed their gratefulness for the aid of concerned citizens who reached out. They urge the public to always report suspicious activity as it can ensure the safety of the community.

“More often than not, it’s the citizens themselves who point us in the right direction and help us to locate suspects and solve crime.”
