Thieves broke in to the Burbank Compounding Pharmacy and stole 11 bottles of prescription painkillers after they punched a hole into the shop from a neighboring cardiology office in the pharmacy narcotics theft. Burbank Police responded at 5:40 a.m. to an alarm call at the medical building housing the drug store and doctors’ offices at 201 S. Buena Vista St. on Friday, January 31.

By the time police arrived on the scene, the suspects were gone, according to Sgt. Darin Ryburn of the Burbank Police Department. The thieves first broke in to Foothill Cardiology and then made a hole in the shared wall to gain entry into the pharmacy. Nothing was taken from the cardiology office.

Burbank Compounding Pharmacy reported a previous burglary in March 2011. Burbank Police continue to investigate this most recent theft.
