Three Graduates to Take Their Place With Burbank Police

Burbank Police has a few new cops in town!

They are new recruits that graduated Thursday in the Los Angeles Sheriff Department class number 383.  The 18 week academy finished with a graduation ceremony held Thursday night at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles and now the recruit’s, who are official police officers in The State of California, will hit the streets with Burbank Training Officers.

The new recruits are Sarah Brady, 29 years old and comes from Glendora. Prior to joining the Burbank Police Department, she was a school teacher and also holds a Masters Degree.  During the academy she was Top Physical/Athlete of the Class.

Another recruit is Julie Oates, who is 24 years old and resides in Santa Clarita  She recently graduated from CSUN with a Bachelor’s Degree and was honored as the recruit with the highest academic score in class #383.

Finally there is Kiyomi Scott who is 27 and from San Bernadino.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Cal State LA, where she was attending on a track scholarship.  Scott was also given the honor to sing The National Anthem during the graduating ceremonies.

Burbank Detective Chris Racina, who was the Background Officer, was at the ceremonies to watch the Burbank Officers he mentored through the entire process and class, graduate.
