The Burbank Police along with Burbank Fire Department units responded to a reported traffic accident where a fire hydrant was sheared off.  Thousands of gallons of water flowed into the intersection of Screenland Dr. and Valhalla Dr. as a result.

Burbank Police reported one car was exiting the Fry’s Electronics parking lot and another car going westbound on Screenland Drive collided, sending one car into the hydrant on the southwest corner.

No injuries were reported according to police.   A crew from Burbank Water & Power was called to assist in shutting down the water in the area so the hydrant line could be clamped off.
