Two Burbank Men Booked for Attempted Murder After Shots Reported Fired

 On Wednesday, August 3, shortly before midnight, Burbank Police Officers responded to the 200 block of West Verdugo to investigate possible gunshots being fired.
     During the initial investigation, officers observed broken glass and noticed a parked vehicle had been struck by at least one bullet. Shell casings were also found at the scene. No injuries were reported. However, two juvenile victims were identified. The incident is believed to be gang related.
     Further investigation led to the arrest of 21 year-old Fernando Lopez and 22 year-old Juan Alcala, both of Burbank.  Lopez and Alcala were booked for Attempt Murder. They are currently being held at the Glendale City Jail in lieu of $ 1,000,000 bail.
     The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
