Join the VBAS Saturday, November 16 for a low-cost dog vaccination clinic. The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Burbank Police/Fire Headquarters, 200 N. Third Street, Burbank, CA 91502. Proceeds from the event go to the VBAS medical fund, which provides medical care to Burbank’s homeless animals.
This event will benefit dogs throughout Burbank and neighboring communities by providing them with the vaccinations they need to continue to live happy and healthy lives.
The low-cost vaccination clinic is open to all dogs, regardless of whether they are residents of the City of Burbank. Shots that will be available include:
· Three-Year Rabies Vaccination ($6) – For dogs older than one year
· One-year Rabies Vaccination ($6) – For dogs ages four months to one year OR dogs with no proof of previous rabies vaccination
· Bordetella Vaccination ($12) – Prevents kennel cough
· DHLPP Vaccination ($12) – Prevents distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza and parvovirus.
All vaccinations will be administered by licensed veterinarians Dr. Martin Small and
Dr. Carol Marienthal-Skaar. Shots may be paid for with cash, check or credit card.
Dog license renewal with the City of Burbank will also be available for $100 for unaltered dogs and $20 for altered dogs with proof of spay or neuter. The law requires that all dogs four months and older be vaccinated for rabies and registered with the city in which you live.
Dogs attending the vaccination clinic must wear properly fitting collars or harnesses attached to a leash and must be with their human owner or caretaker at all times.
Free parking is available in the parking lot on Third Street, between E. Orange Grove Avenue and Palm Avenue.
