Burbank Police Department officials received several 911 calls of a minivan driving into a Flower Shop right around 1:50PM.

As they were dispatching units to the intersection of Alameda Avenue and Glenoaks, a patrol officer who was right across the street was on scene within seconds. The driver, an employee of Glenoaks Flowers & Gifts, accidentally hit the gas pedal while sitting in front of the store located in a mini mall on the northwest west corner.
Burbank Fire Paramedics responded and for precautionary reasons they transported the driver that appeared in his 20’s to 30’s. Burbank Firefighters remained on scene while the car was removed by a tow truck, and then driven out of the shop. Firefighters assisted in cleaning up some of the debris.
Burbank Building Inspectors responded to the scene to see if the building was structurally safe.
Damage was limited to the glass storefront and the front of the minivan.
