Get out for a fun weekend hike and a view of Burbank from the heights of the Verdugo Hills for the 13th annual Verdugo Hills Community Hike to be held Saturday, November 2. Friday, October 25, is the deadline for the discounted early online or mail-in registration of $5. The hike begins at 8:00 a.m. from trailheads at either Stough Canyon or Wildwood Canyon. Each trail meets up at the Ridge Trail Summit where hikers can enjoy breakfast and refreshment, served by local Boy Scout Troop members.

The registration fee after October 25 is $10 and will be taken on-site on the morning of November 2 at the hike check-in between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Breakfast will be served until 11:00 a.m.
There are three hike levels to choose from, all with a 1500 ft. elevation gain, from the least challenging (1.8 miles round trip) to challenging (3 miles round trip), to the very challenging (6.4 miles round trip.) Make sure to bring water and a hat and wear sunscreen and appropriate shoes, and enjoy Burbank’s beautiful backyard.
