With all the talk about drought, we can look at how Burbankers got their water before BWP.

Water was not always piped to your door as it is today. Years ago Burbank People eit

her had a well or they paid to have it pumped up for them!

These “Water Pumping Plants” were in a number of places across town and you could pay to “Fill Up” your barrels or tank wagon.

The San Fernando Valley has a huge water table under it and that was the main source for Burbank citizens to get a drink or water their farm from these pumping plants.
