A female suspect was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after she allegedly struck a car driven by a fleeing john with her own vehicle on Friday, May 16, on the 2300 block of N. Buena Vista Street.
The impact caused the vehicle driven by the john, a silver Jeep, to crash into a beige Chrysler parked on Buena Vista, according to Sgt. Darin Ryburn of the Burbank Police Department.
A neighbor near the accident scene called police at 11:30 p.m. The witness heard two vehicles and saw one was a Jeep as they left the scene at a high rate of speed.
While police were investigating the accident, BPD received a call from a man who told police he had been forced to hit the parked Chrysler on Buena Vista Street. The man had stopped his Jeep at San Fernando and Avon Street.
The male driver told police he had been at the Extended Stay hotel near Empire Avenue and Buena Vista Street with an alleged prostitute he met online, added Ryburn. The male refused to pay the female for services and fled the hotel in his Jeep.
His vehicle was followed by an Audi, which rammed his Jeep from behind while driving north on Buena Vista Street. Then the Audio pulled alongside and struck the right rear of the Jeep with the left side of the car, causing the Jeep’s driver to lose control and strike the parked Chrysler, explained Ryburn.
The driver of the Jeep told police he followed the Audi onto the 5 Freeway north but then decided to pull over and call police.
When the police went to the Extended Stay to follow the investigation, a female driving an Audi arrived on scene.
The female allegedly told police she was driving the vehicle and struck the Jeep. The male victim identified the female suspect.
Based on the suspect’s statements and the evidence, police determined the Audi struck the Jeep causing it to hit the parked Chrysler.
Since the Audi was used to intentionally cause an accident, police arrested 26-year-old Stephanie Tresca-Archie from Sacramento for assault with a deadly weapon and for multiple warrants for soliciting prostitution.
Tresca-Archie’s bail is $90,000 and she was booked at the Burbank Jail.
