Woodbury University announced on Tuesday December 10 that they will be supporting The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley’s Amazon fundraising campaign by encouraging their faculty and students to participate.
During the holiday shopping season, faculty and students will be encouraged to log onto www.bgcburbank.org and click on the Amazon banner to access the Amazon website. With every purchase made 4-10% of the transaction will be donated back to the Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley from Amazon. There are no special codes or hidden fees.
Faculty and students will be given stickers to place on their cell phones and computers as a reminder about the campaign. The donations will go to help expand and sustain academic success programs such as College Bound, where Club members receive guidance and resources to fulfill high school graduation and college eligibility requirements.
Although Woodbury is launching their support during the holiday season, Amazon will continue this fundraising initiative on an on-going basis. “We are grateful to both Amazon and Woodbury for their support to us. These are great partnerships that will help us grow and continue to serve youth in the community,” says Shanna Warren, Executive Director.
