The Burbank City Animal Shelter is announcing new hours. Starting January 4, 2016, the Shelter will be closed to the public on Mondays. The new schedule will allow Animal Shelter staff members and the Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter (VBAS) to attend to critical needs of the Shelter, such as facility maintenance, animal assessments and socialization. This will result in an enhanced environment and better care for the animals. The new schedule will also allow for additional attention to administrative duties involving the operation of the Shelter.
The Shelter’s new public hours will be:
Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm
Sunday, 11 am to 3 pm
Closed on Mondays and City holidays.
Any member of the public who needs non-emergency assistance when the Shelter is closed may leave a message for the Shelter staff by calling (818) 238-3340. An animal control officer will return the call as soon as possible. Emergency assistance is available 24/7 by calling the Burbank Police Department at (818) 238-3000.
Dog registrations and non-emergency service requests can be handled online by visiting the Animal Shelter website: www.BurbankAnimalShelter.org.
Additional information is available at the VBAS website at www.thevbas.org.
