On a sunny afternoon in Burbank, the front door of The Green Man creaks open and the scent of sage, sandalwood, and something indefinably earthy drifts out. Inside, shelves glow with candles, herbs, crystals, and hand-blended oils.

Created and run by local volunteers, merchants, and residents, this night celebrates the independent spirit that makes Magnolia Park one of Los Angeles County’s most vibrant and walkable neighborhoods

Across the street from the Mystic Museum is another unique Magnolia Blvd. store. When you walk into Blast From the Past you’re immediately transported. Star Wars action figures line the walls. Classic movie posters compete with Freddy Krueger masks for attention.

When you step inside The Mystic Museum on Magnolia Boulevard, you’re not just shopping—you’re entering an immersive world of horror nostalgia, movie magic, and oddities.

Sitting down with Kerry I was impressed at how calm and collected she seemed in light of overseeing the operations of two successful restaurants on Magnolia Blvd. in Burbank. I imagine her composure comes from over 25 years working in the restaurant industry and being trained at Le Cordon Bleu.

Chloe may be an accomplished filmmaker with awards, commendations and a prestigious degree from Columbia University but she can also be seen helping customers select their keepsakes at her families Vintage store, Junk for Joy, on Magnolia Blvd.

Burbank native Elizabeth Dowell has always known that her path would center around connection, creativity, and helping others feel their best.
