Supporters of Measure S celebrate victory on passing the bond measure after capturing 61% of the vote, bringing $110 million into the school district for badly needed improvements.

On 5 March Burbank residents will have the opportunity to vote on Measure “S,” a bond measure that would provide nearly $110 million in new funding to upgrade district schools, paid for by the tax payers over a period of up to 40 years.

There will be Classic Carnival Games and Prizes, Music, Food and Art Table and "Rides" including a 65 foot inflatable Obstacle Course, a 24 foot dual lane slide and laser tag

Burbank organizations partner with Jordan Middle School to create the Betty Steinkolk Literacy Patio and Garden, a beautiful space to be shared by teachers and students. More than 60 community people and students volunteered most of the day on Saturday to complete the project that is dedicated to a beloved former principal.

With the potential passage of Measure S, The Burbank Unified School District is currently seeking four members to serve on the School Facilities Oversight Committee
