Each year, students at BHS and JBHS create keepsake portraits of individual children in other countries facing war, violence, poverty and abuse, to be sent to those children in coordination with The Memory Project program. For the 2018-19 school year, students created portraits of Rohingya children currently living in refugee camps in Bangladesh.

Burbank High Arts students celebrated their collaboration on the new Arts building mural with Nickelodeon interns and artists with a series of performances by students in the dance, instrumental, visual and film programs. The colorful mural was designed and directed by senior Ana Cristina Varela.
