The Burbank PTA celebrated 100 years of service at their annual Honorary Service Awards (HSA) Ceremony, this past Wednesday, April 17, 2024.  The event was the 74th Honorary Service Awards for Burbank and was held at De Luxe Banquet Hall in Burbank, honoring over 60 award recipients.

Burbank schools celebrated Read Across America Day on March 2nd by bringing in parents and community liaisons to read to students in their classrooms. 

The John Burroughs High School Vocal Music Association performed Friday and Saturday and has one more show on Sunday at 2:00 pm.

The annual John Burroughs High School show choir extravaganza runs three performances February 23 - 25.

KCDC offers free dental care, assessments, and education for kids in the Burbank area.

The John Burroughs High School Portraits of Kindness program is a school club organized by librarian Julie Grene and art teacher, Karen Nakashima, where students create portraits for single mothers and their children across the world.

The annual Music Is Instrumental benefit concert raised sorely needed funds for Burbank public school music programs, including a $170,000 donation from the Chuck Lorre Family Foundation.

“Omigod you guys,” the Luther Burbank Middle School (LBMS) production of “Legally Blonde: The Musical, Jr.” was the talk of the town this past weekend that proved to be a powerhouse show that every student involved should be proud of.
