Burbank and Burroughs homecoming royalty talk about their experience being named to the court. For some, their family members have also been nominated for this special title.

The birthday of the 26th President of the United States, Teddy Roosevelt, was celebrated at the local Burbank elementary school named in his honor. Burroughs High School marching band and cheerleaders were on hand, along with the Mayor of Burbank, to kick off the observance and party.

Burroughs High School Drama raised needed funds and entertained a full house with comedy, improv, song and dance at the Colony Theatre.

JBHS Principal John Paramo moves to the BUSD administrative offices to become Director of Secondary Education. He stays on campus until a replacement principal has been named.

The Smarter Balance testing schedule was announced and information on the status of district assessments presented to the Board of Education.
