On June 28, Chow Down Burbank!, a 90-day campaign to help local restaurants in recovery from COVID-19 setbacks, officially kicks off. The Burbank Chamber of Commerce and the City of Burbank have partnered with marketing agency Counterintuity to promote these businesses.

Burroughs High Drama Releases Web Series “Act One: Scene Death!”

In place of the typical Spring semester play, JBHS Drama is releasing a murder mystery web series on IGTV and YouTube, written, filmed and edited remotely by teacher Guy Myers and students in the Play Production class in accordance with the safer at home guidelines. It's free to watch but donations to JBHS Stagecraft Technology program via the JBHS Drama website are encouraged.

Waggage Claim Provides Pet Therapy at Hollywood Burbank Airport

The Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) celebrated the relaunch of their Waggage Claim pet therapy program on December 20, 2022. The program was paused during the pandemic but is back on its feet, providing canine comfort and care for airline passengers throughout the week.

Fancy Free Launches Tasting Counter this Saturday

Fancy Free Liquor is debuting their tasting counter at their launch party on Saturday, November 20th from 2-5 pm. Fancy Free is an upscale wine, beer and spirits store that recently opened last year in Burbank and is known for their eclectic collection of vodka, gin, rum, tequila and whiskey, as well as their cocktail mixes and kits. The store offers many ways to shop including in person, curbside, next day local delivery, and in-state shipping, which makes their kits a great holiday gift.

On November 3, the Burbank Coordinating Council honored City Councilman Bob Frutos and the BPD, while collecting funds to deliver holiday baskets for families in need.

Grin Garden Hosts Patient Appreciation Ice Cream Social

The event was held from 2-4PM and Grin Garden paid for ice cream at the SimplyTwisted dessert truck for all guests, which was a nice relief during the 96 degree weather. About 115 ice creams were given out at the truck making for a nice turn out for their first appreciation event.
