August 17th is National Thrift Store Day! The day is celebrated in an effort to support local thrift stores, increase sustainable shopping, and raise awareness of charitable organizations.  Thrift stores sell gently used items that have been donated so that they can be sold at a much lower rate. Many stores raise money for charities while helping to recycle clothing and keep them out of the landfills.

Girls on the Run Los Angeles to Host Free Event This Sunday

Join Girls on the Run Los Angeles (GOTRLA) this Sunday, August 21st from 9:00-11:00am at Johnny Carson Park for a free family-friendly event open to the entire community. The event is in partnership with the City of Burbank’s Park and Recreation department and offers an optional morning run as well as engaging activities for kids. 

Tequila Tasting and Pairing Dinner was Huge Success at Tequilas Cantina & Grill

Tequilas Burbank hosted their first ever Tequila Pairing Dinner on Wednesday, August 10th featuring a five course meal paired with five specially crafted Patrón tequila cocktails. The event sold out in days and was a huge success for the restaurant and those in attendance.

Grin Garden Hosts Patient Appreciation Ice Cream Social

The event was held from 2-4PM and Grin Garden paid for ice cream at the SimplyTwisted dessert truck for all guests, which was a nice relief during the 96 degree weather. About 115 ice creams were given out at the truck making for a nice turn out for their first appreciation event.

Summer Family Fun: American Ninja Warrior Adventure Park

The American Ninja Warrior Adventure Park has just opened in Santa Ana featuring 17,000 sq. ft. of trusses, swings, climbing walls, bridges, and an inflatable obstacle course.  Based on the NBC show, American Ninja Warrior, which ran for 13 seasons, the adventure park has opened so that everyone can test their skills and train to be a ninja.
