The average resident or visitor might not immediately notice, but the Burbank Police Department (BPD) is making a lot of changes to their uniforms, patrol cars, motorcycles, and safety equipment.

The Burbank Fire Department recently conducted a live burn drill at the apartments on the 2200 block of Catalina St. before they were completely demolished.

Burbank Police Detective Gary Seymour spent one of the afternoons this past week during National Teen Driver Safety Week talking to the Baseball Team at Burbank High School. The subject has a special significance for him.

The BPOA is worried about the level of service the Burbank Police Department is providing to the residents and business people of Burbank. More changes may be coming.

The Fire Department elected a new Captain of the Fire Prevention Bureau, Fire Captain Peter Hendrickson. Hendrickson has been with the Burbank Fire Department since 1979 and has worked in several positions during all those years, while still maintaining his Paramedic ratings.
