Summer Family Fun: 250+ Places Within 3 Hours of Burbank
Burbank schools are out for the summer! As a mom of two boys, one in elementary school and one in middle school, I am always looking for fun things to do to get them outside, learning, exploring and adventuring. To help us plan trips and to inspire other families to do the same, I compiled a list of over 250 places for families within a three hour radius from Burbank. Summer Family Fun: Ghost Town Alive! at Knott’s Berry Farm
Ghost Town Alive! has returned to Knott’s Berry Farm this summer for select days until September 5th, 2022. The immersive Western experience brings you back almost 150 years to be a part of the beloved town of Calico on their Founder’s Day. Guests become fully submersed in the Wild West while playing along with the characters of Calico, completing tasks and activities, and playing a star role in the Ghost Town Alive! story.
Summer Family Fun: A Day Along Hollywood Boulevard
Tinseltown, a.k.a Hollywood, is just over the hill from Burbank, and while it is known for its exclusive night life, bars, clubs, and concerts, there is also a lot of fun things for families to see and do. Hollywood is over 30 square miles, but there is just one street that has everything you need to squeeze in a full day of family fun while being just minutes from home. Here are 8 places to make the perfect summer family fun day along Hollywood Blvd.
Summer Family Fun: Petersen Automotive Museum
This summer, visiting the Petersen Automotive Museum, is a must-do for your bucket list. From the outside the giant red and metal structure looks like something out of a space film, but once inside hundreds of the most unique and rare cars glisten and sparkle covering three floors of space. Their featured exhibit, Bond in Motion, holds the official collection of James Bond vehicles that is now on display through October 23rd.
Summer Family Fun: LEGOLAND California
Summer is coming to a close so now is the time to squeeze in those family vacations you have been wanting to do. LEGOLAND® California is located in Carlsbad just outside of San Diego and makes for a great day trip or an overnight stay in their LEGOLAND® California Resort. The park is connected to the SEA LIFE Aquarium and the LEGOLAND® Water Park so make sure to get the multi-park tickets to visit all three while on your trip.

Boots & Brews Country Music Festival Returns to SoCal June 17
The Boots & Brews Country Music Festival is heading back to the valley and taking over Central Park, in Santa Clarita on Saturday, June 17. This year’s lineup features country stars like Lee Brice, Tyler Farr, and up-and-coming country music sensation Matt Stell.
