Summer Family Fun

The Boots & Brews Country Music Festival is heading back to the valley and taking over Central Park, in Santa Clarita on Saturday, June 17. This year’s lineup features country stars like Lee Brice, Tyler Farr, and up-and-coming country music sensation Matt Stell.

Universal Studios is located just minutes from Burbank making the amusement park the perfect family adventure this summer. With the recent release of Jurassic World Dominion, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, and the upcoming release of Minions: The Rise of Gru on July 1st, Universal Studios Hollywood is a great place to get up close with characters and interactive rides from the hottest movies of 2022.

Ghost Town Alive! has returned to Knott’s Berry Farm this summer for select days until September 5th, 2022. The immersive Western experience brings you back almost 150 years to be a part of the beloved town of Calico on their Founder’s Day. Guests become fully submersed in the Wild West while playing along with the characters of Calico, completing tasks and activities, and playing a star role in the Ghost Town Alive! story.

Colony Theatre has announced the cast and designers for the Reel Red Entertainment production of The Civility of Albert Cashier, a new musical, with performances from August 31-September 22.

Burbank schools are out for the summer! Cypher VR is now open in Burbank! Escape rooms and virtual reality come together for a unique and fun gaming experience that everyone will enjoy. Put on the headset and transport yourself into a 3D simulated world to solve story-based puzzles with your friends.

This summer, visiting the Petersen Automotive Museum, is a must-do for your bucket list. From the outside the giant red and metal structure looks like something out of a space film, but once inside hundreds of the most unique and rare cars glisten and sparkle covering three floors of space. Their featured exhibit, Bond in Motion, holds the official collection of James Bond vehicles that is now on display through October 23rd.

The American Ninja Warrior Adventure Park has just opened in Santa Ana featuring 17,000 sq. ft. of trusses, swings, climbing walls, bridges, and an inflatable obstacle course.  Based on the NBC show, American Ninja Warrior, which ran for 13 seasons, the adventure park has opened so that everyone can test their skills and train to be a ninja.

Tinseltown, a.k.a Hollywood, is just over the hill from Burbank, and while it is known for its exclusive night life, bars, clubs, and concerts, there is also a lot of fun things for families to see and do. Hollywood is over 30 square miles, but there is just one street that has everything you need to squeeze in a full day of family fun while being just minutes from home.
