Congressman Howard L. Berman (D-Valley Village) announced today that Congressman Adam Schiff endorsed his campaign for the newly created 30th Congressional District. Schiff, who represents a Los Angeles area district adjacent to the 30th CD, joins 23 colleagues who already stand with Howard and represent an overwhelming majority of California’s Democratic delegation in Congress. Only two members of the delegation have endorsed Brad Sherman.

“After working closely with Congressman Berman for the past decade, I know that his wisdom, experience and tireless advocacy must not be lost.” said Rep. Adam Schiff. “He is a proven leader on foreign policy and job creation, and I know that he’s absolutely the right choice for residents of Burbank and the surrounding communities.”

Congressman Adam B. Schiff currently represents California’s 29th Congressional District, a portion of which was redrawn into the new 30th Congressional District.

“I’m proud to have Adam join the considerable group California colleagues standing with me and supporting my campaign,” said Congressman Berman. “Our colleagues work day in and day out with Brad and me, they see firsthand our work on behalf of the Valley and California. Adam’s support is further evidence that when it comes getting things accomplished, I’m more than just another vote or just another voice – I deliver.”

“It is tough decision to wade into a primary, but Representative Schiff is another name on a long list of respected elected officials that are standing with Howard,” said spokesperson Allison Jaslow. “It is abundantly clear that leaders like Senator Feinstein, Senator Boxer and now Congressman Schiff, not only value Howard’s partnership, but count on him to get things done for California.”
