The Burbank Fire Department is looking for toys and athletic equipment for its ‘Spark of Love’ collection. For many years, the BFD participated in the ‘Spark of Love’ event and were stationed at Metro Link when the  Holiday Train Express came through town. The past two years the train has been cancelled because of the cost of operations.

The toys collected by Burbank firefighters stay here in Burbank and are distributed to several local organizations such as the Family Service Agency, Salvation Army, BTAC and the Boys and Girls Club.

This year the firefighters positioned themselves outside Sports Authority as well as at the Media Center Mall, but collections were very few.

If anyone would like to donate toys, cash, sports equipment, etc, there is still time and donations may be delivered at any Burbank Fire Station.

What a special way to brighten a child’s face and bring holiday cheer to our youth, Burbank firefighters and the city of Burbank.
